Following several successful years, BlackRock Rocks will present another captivating Mardi Gras fundraiser. Our 6th annual event will take place from noon until last call on Saturday, March 5 at three venues in the heart of Black Rock: Acoustic Café, Marty’s Brick Oven Pizza, and the Neutral Ground (former home of Lady Luck), all centrally located on Fairfield Avenue between Bennett and Wilson Streets. The Primate Fiasco from Massachusetts and local performers including: Otis and the Hurricanes, Nardy Boy, I Anbassa, Kung Fu, Saint Bernadette, The Pat Lattin Band, Mike Falzone, Steep Grade, Rick Reyes, Michael Cleary Band, Brian Dolzani, Chris D'Angelis, Lisa Furman & the Blue Flies, Darian Cunning, Separate Incidents, Steve Detroy, John Torres, 930 Moon, Josh Douglas, King for a Day and Iron Chicken Foot. Tickets will cost $20 for adults, which will give admission to all three venues throughout the course of the event. Children between 12-20 years of age enter for $5, and children under 12 enter for free. There will also be New Orleans-inspired food for sale at each of the venues, and raffle tickets for unique prize packages will be on sale as well. Original Works is a non-profit company who serves youths from the Bridgeport region providing substantive arts experiences in dance, music, theater and film while the participants work with professional artists in creating, developing, and performing original artistic products.
